About

This blog is about walking, one of the most fundamental of human activities. I am a walker. So what makes me a walker, and others not, you might ask. And I define myself as a walker based on the tagline above. A walker walks. A walker counts steps. So most of the time, unless the distance and time demand it, I do not use a car or public transport. I walk. I also count steps. I know the distance from where it live to various locations, not by the number of metres or kilometres, but by the number of steps it takes to get there. I can tell you the lenght of several airport concourses by the number of steps. And with those two characteristics combined, I will make the claim that I am a walker.

I live in Switzerland. And where better to live if you like walking, I might add. So many of my blog posts will be about walking in Switzerland. But there will be other places as well. And while most of my blog posts will be about my own walks, i may draw on what others have said, poetry that they have written, or other media connected to walking. I hope you enjoy what I write, andif it prompts you to become a walker also, then so much the better.
